About Economics BSc, BSc (Hons) - at Middlesex University
Overview
This degree weaves academic learning into the economics and business context internationally and includes the option to take a valuable paid placement year where you'll be exposed to applying economics into action. You can choose to do short term internships in choice public, private and voluntary organisations such as government departments, banks, risk and insurance sectors, investment and broking firms, retail and manufacturing firms, start-ups and charities among many others.

It's been designed for students who are interested in starting up their own businesses, be involved in running and managing businesses or becoming financial and/or economic analysts. Our Economics Department has strong expertise in fields of behavioural and experimental economics as well as econometrics. These are all important in helping to apply economics theory and knowledge to business practice. With well-founded links with the financial, governmental and voluntary organisations, you'll be supported on work placements and internships and also overseas study in linked universities.
