About Product and Process Development - Production and Logistics, MSc - at Mälardalen University

This programme will help you to develop knowledge of the most important issues in modern production and logistics systems. You will learn to analyse, evaluate and optimise solutions that will enable you to develop the systems successfully and competitively.

The Master’s programme in Product and Process Development – Production and Logistics is a two-year programme at second-cycle level. Here you will develop skills in modern production and logistics systems, and knowledge of how you can develop the systems successfully and competitively. In addition to knowledge of analysis and evaluation you will also acquire an advanced base in planning and optimising production and logistics, including the use of simulation programmes. During the programme there will be numerous contacts with industry, in the form of guest lectures as well as of applied project assignments.

This programme is a part of the research profile of Innovation and Product Realisation (IPR) at the School of Innovation, Design and Engineering.  This cross-disciplinary research specialisation has a unique combination of research in art and design, and engineering and innovation/entrepreneurship. The research is directed towards design studies and many of our research projects are done in collaboration with industry and society. Several of the courses in the programme have been produced and are run by our active researchers. As a Master's student you can be invited to do your degree project within the frame of one of the ongoing research projects. This provides a very good basis for the students who are interested in future doctoral studies.
