About Bachelor of Business, BBus - at CQUniversity Australia

The Bachelor of Business is an innovative course that builds your foundation knowledge in business and management. The unique course structure features 16 core units of business, encompassing eight management units, to ensure you are well equipped to meet the contemporary challenges of the business environment.

Benefit from the flexibility to tailor your studies to pursue a particular area of interest. Complement your management major with a second area of interest including accounting, financial planning, human resources management, management, marketing, property and social innovation. Alternatively, you may tailor your studies by choosing two minors in areas such as digital media, human resource management, marketing, food security and sustainability or tourism, or opting to study eight elective units or a combination of minors, electives and the CQUni Global Outbound Program.

Domestic students will also have the opportunity to undertake work-integrated learning as well as an overseas exchange program that incorporates professional work placement and overseas study experience, enabling you to gain practical experience through professional work placement to further enhance your employability.

The success of CQUniversity's Bachelor of Business lies with consistent review and industry consultation. This allows you to graduate with skills and knowledge highly desired by employers.

Study either on-campus or online. You may choose to study online while working in the industry so you can gain practical experience while you learn.

Entry requirements

English Requirements: If you were not born in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, UK, Ireland, South Africa or USA you are required to meet the English Language Proficiency requirements set by the University.

Applicants are required to provide evidence of completion within the last 5 years of:

  • a secondary qualification (Year 11 or 12, or equivalent), or
  • bachelor level qualification study for a period of at least 2 years full-time with a minimum overall GPA 4.0

completed within Australia, Canada, New Zealand, United Kingdom, South Africa, Ireland, or United States of America, which will meet the English proficiency.

If you do not satisfy any of the above, you will need to undertake an English language proficiency test and achieve the following scores as below:

  • An International English Language Testing System (IELTS Academic) overall band score of at least 7.5 with a minimum of 8.0 for Reading and Writing and 8.0 for Speaking and Listening, or
  • An Occupational English Test with Grades A or B only in each of the four components.

English test results remain valid for no more than two years between final examination date and the date of commencement of study, and must appear on a single result certificate.

Each student will be assessed individually.
