Studying education abroad

This will mean that you have the knowledge and skills to work at many different levels, from a teacher, to senior management at an institution.

Undergraduate

Modules you study could include the history of education, inclusive education, teaching and learning in the digital age, and education beyond borders. If you are training to become a subject specific teacher, your degree will also include some modules that are tailored to your subject of choice.

Your degree will be delivered in a mixture of modes. These could include lectures and seminars, as well as group projects. It is likely that you will also be required to take part in a work placement as part of your degree.

Postgraduate

Studying for a postgraduate degree in education allows you to build on the skills you gained at undergraduate level, developing you as an educational professional.

Your theoretical knowledge and practical abilities will be challenged, and you will have the opportunity to further explore your role as an educator, and the impact you have on your students.

Modules you study might include education and mental wellbeing, special and inclusive education, leadership in education, and teaching controversial issues. If you are training to become a subject specific teacher, your degree will also include modules that are tailored to your chosen subject.
