Study Photonics
Photonics is the science of how light is generated and detected, as well as how it can be manipulated through different methods, including emission, signal processing and amplification. The application of photonics in the 21st century is wide and varied, from everyday life situations to complex scientific conditions.
Coursework
Modules you study could include signal and image processing, wireless and optical communications, nanofabrication, and microscopy. Your degree will be delivered in a mixture of modes. These could include lectures and seminars, as well as laboratory or practical sessions. Depending on your course, you may have the opportunity to take part in a work placement.
