Course Overview
Learners will explore the symptoms, causes and effects of stress as a physical and psychological response, and indicators of the levels of stress in the workplace. They will be introduced to psychological personality types as a risk factor and measures which an organisation can adopt to reduce the level of stress.

Assessment
Two written assignments, 2500 words or equivalent in total, critically evaluating the causes of stress and developing a guidance sheet to promote active management of stress in the workplace.
Further Information
You will be required to attend two half-day teaching sessions at the Carmarthen Campus. These days will provide you with a secure foundation for your study. Throughout this module you will be supported by a Tutor. This support can either be face-to-face, via telephone, email or Skype - or a mix of all these. You will be required to complete the module within three months of the induction.
