Our internationally acclaimed plant and crop science research focuses on crop plants of global importance.
We have a large multi-national team of scientists covering a wide range of research areas. We have extensive glasshouses, polytunnels and field trial sites.
We investigate molecular mechanisms in plant cells that control important developmental processes. Research using model plants provides insights into genes that control important agronomic traits. Our goal is to use this knowledge to improve crop quality and performance.
The School of Biosciences research website contains more information on our research areas. You will also find academic contact details and research interests. You should identify a supervisor to work with and contact them before making a formal application.
