Do you believe that literature holds the key to better understanding a country and its people? Do you have a passion for gaining insights into other cultures?
This MA will allow you to study a range of literatures in either their original or translated forms. You will examine the way cultures interact and be provided with relevant theories to use as a research framework.
We specialise in French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian and Serbian/Croatian, the Americas and Africa. This programme provides one of the most comprehensive comparative literature coverages in the UK.
You may also choose to acquire skills in literary translation.

For our MA - 2:1 ( or international equivalent) in Literature, Languages, Cultural Studies or a similar subject; ideally some knowledge of a European language other than English. Plus IELTS of 7.0 with no less than 6.5 in each element.
