Education is one of the fundamental building blocks of society. However, leading an educational organisation is becoming increasingly complex.
This course will develop your essential leadership and management skillset. You'll conduct research that drives growth and enhances your professional practice to help you make a positive difference within the classroom or an education organisation.
You'll engage in critical discussion and explore theories and issues underpinning effective leadership in a variety of educational contexts. You will also consider social, political, cultural and policy factors that may influence your leadership role. The course is ideal for those who wish to move into or progress in educational leadership roles.
The course content has been influenced by research conducted by our own tutors. Their expertise and academic knowledge allows you to analyse different leadership styles and explore how they could affect your own practice. A key focus of the course is supporting practice-based inquiry and applying it to the way you work.
This course is also available to study online and we welcome approaches from educational organisations looking for a bespoke programme for their staff.

A personal statement is required that demonstrates both a clear understanding of the course and relevant motivation for pursuing educational leadership and management studies plus, if possible, details of any relevant professional or work experience in an educational setting
