The MA in Translation Studies at the University of Nottingham is designed both for professional translators and interpreters wishing to obtain a formal qualification, for language graduates wishing to become translators or undertake further research studies. The course combines theoretical and practical training and makes use of our state-of-the-art translation and interpreting facilities.
The MA in Translation Studies mainly consists of core modules which provide professionally-relevant training, giving students the option to specialise in either Interpreting, Audiovisual Translation or Literary Translation between English and one of the following languages: Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Portuguese, Russian, Slovene, Serbian/Croatian, Spanish (though it should be noted that not all three options are available for all languages).
