Our degree has been developed with input from professional accountancy bodies and financial institutions. Courses focus on practical skills using software and systems such as MS Excel, MS Access, Visual Studio, SAP ERP 6.0 and SAGE 50 accounts software.
If you successfully complete this degree with the relevant course options, you will be exempt from a number of exam papers leading to professional qualifications from ACCA, AIA, CIMA and CIPFA. This will set you on the path to becoming a qualified accountant after university and increasing career earning potential within accountancy sector.
You will study core and optional courses with an emphasis on financial systems and models, including quantitative analysis and management accounting control systems.
EmployabilityWe have strong connections with the City and companies in Canary Wharf, the financial centres in London. This offers you networking, mentoring and internship opportunities, making it a perfect location to start your career.
You will have the option to undertake a work placement in your third year, providing insight and practical skills which employers seek in graduates. Previous university students have secured placement years at the NHS and Disney.

They also provide you with CV support and will inviteyou to employment fairs to network with employers and recruiters fromindustries.
