Internationally, the agriculture industry is expanding creating with it lots of opportunities for well educated and technically competent graduates. From the outset of the course, you will gain an understanding of the global conditions in which agriculture operates and take a hands on approach to the issues which this sector faces. By focusing on efficient and environmentally sustainable crop and livestock production you will appreciate the bigger picture in relation to agricultural trade and development.
Work placementAs part of the course students are expected to undertake work experience. Whilst this normally takes place in the second year on a part-time basis, some students choose to complete it on a full-time basis in the summer between Year 1 and Year 2. You will be supported in finding an appropriate placement to gain an insight into working in agriculture.
