Earth and Atmospheric Sciences encompasses areas of study that examine the Earth: its structure, its evolution, and the atmosphere above it. This major (or minor) includes courses from Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, Geophysics, and Paleontology to provide a multidisciplinary view of our planet.
Why take a Business minor with a Science major?
Pursuing a Business Minor within the BSc (General) degree is an excellent way for you to specialize in a scientific field while also gaining experience in business and management. Courses in Accounting, Finance, Marketing, and other business subjects will complement your science courses, give you a more well-rounded education, and prepare you for a variety of roles and careers.
The Business minor can only be taken as part of a BSc General degree.
The Business Minor is also available in the BSc Specialization in Computing Science.

This program does not allow admission directly from high school.
Admission Selection: Competitive, based on your AGPA (40%) and your average in required preprofessional courses (60%). If an applicant has repeated a course, the first passing grade is used to calculate the applicant's ranking. For consideration, you need a minimum AGPA of 2.3 and an average of at least 2.3 in the required courses. Preference is given to applicants who apply at the end of their first year of study.
The University of Alberta offers a wide ranges of scholarships to international students. You will be evaluated for these scholarships when you apply for admission. Your eligibility will be based on your high school admission average at the time of your admission offer. We'll assess you for a match to the following three schoolarship. If you are eligible for an admission-based scholarship we will contact you directly!
You can also apply for our prestigious application based scholarships. Each year we award twenty five, $120K President's International Distinction scholarships.
