The School of Dentistry at the University of Alberta offers a fully accredited program, with state-of-the-art facilities including a full-service dental clinic. We also value giving back and community involvement: our Dental Hygiene students become community partners early in their learning by volunteering with non-profit organizations, going on Global Missions, working with children and seniors, and providing services to the public.
Why take the Post-Diploma Degree Completion program?
The post-diploma program is designed for past graduates of the University of Alberta Dental Hygiene Diploma program, or graduates of other accredited Canadian or international dental hygiene programs.

Academic Requirements - Program A
This program is intended for diploma graduates from the University of Alberta Dental Hygiene Program between the years of 1998-2001 who completed the extended diploma curriculum.
Applications for admission are accepted between July 1 to November 1 the year prior to the year admission is sought.

Academic Requirements - Program B
This program is intended for diploma graduates from the University of Alberta Dental Hygiene Program prior to 1998 and after 2008 as well as graduates from other accredited dental hygiene programs in Canada and Internationally.
Applications for admission are accepted between July 1 to November 1 the year prior to the year admission is sought.

This program is intended for diploma graduates from the University of Alberta Dental Hygiene Program between the years of 2002 - 2007 who have completed the extended diploma curriculum.

Admission requirements
The University of Alberta offers a wide ranges of scholarships to international students. You will be evaluated for these scholarships when you apply for admission. Your eligibility will be based on your high school admission average at the time of your admission offer. We'll assess you for a match to the following three schoolarship. If you are eligible for an admission-based scholarship we will contact you directly!
You can also apply for our prestigious application based scholarships. Each year we award twenty five, $120K President's International Distinction scholarships.
