About Dental Hygiene - Post Diploma Degree Completion, BSc - at University of Alberta

Why study Dental Hygiene at the University of Alberta?

The School of Dentistry at the University of Alberta offers a fully accredited program, with state-of-the-art facilities including a full-service dental clinic. We also value giving back and community involvement: our Dental Hygiene students become community partners early in their learning by volunteering with non-profit organizations, going on Global Missions, working with children and seniors, and providing services to the public.

Why take the Post-Diploma Degree Completion program?

The post-diploma program is designed for past graduates of the University of Alberta Dental Hygiene Diploma program, or graduates of other accredited Canadian or international dental hygiene programs.

Three different streams are available depending on when, and from where, you received your diploma:

  • Program A: For students who graduated from the University of Alberta Dental Hygiene Program between 1998 and 2001.
  • Program B: For students who graduated from the University of Alberta Dental Hygiene Program prior to 1998, or from 2008 onward; also for diploma dental hygiene graduates from other accredited dental hygiene programs.
  • Program C: For students who graduated from the University of Alberta Dental Hygiene Program between 2002 and 2007.
