This Extended Diploma in Business at UCA Epsom is a two-year, full-time course for students who want to progress to higher education in business before entering degree level eduacation or employment. The course is the equivalent of three A levels and has 13 units which cover a wide range of areas within the business world.
On this course, you’ll learn the skills required to become a manager and to run your own business. You’ll cover areas such as campaign marketing, management, budgets & finance, international business, idea pitching and event management.
You’ll be encouraged to analyse current businesses, things you see every day, and establish what they’re doing well and not so well. Within the course you’ll develop a marketing campaign for an international brand, pitch your business idea to potential investors, learn how to manage people effectively and organise an event which people will attend, amongst many other things.
The course has been designed in collaboration with employers and professional bodies from the work place to ensure that the content is up to date and relevant, helping you to develop skills, knowledge and understanding that are highly sought after by the industry.
To incorporate a real sense of the business world, there will be a mix of team work as well as individual work. You’ll share your own ideas, listen to others and contribute in a group setting, because the best teams always have members with different ideas.
This course is part of our Business School providing a unique opportunity to study business within the creative industries and work with students studying creative programmes within one of the leading creative Universities in Europe.
On completion of this course, you will be awarded the BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Business.
