This course is made up of 60 Credits of one Core Module of Principles of Physical Assessment (15 Credits at Level 7)
For students intending to continue onto the Masters Stage they will have to undertake the Research Methods and methodology Module (15 Credits at Level7)
When the alternative clinical module from the PgCert is undertaken; a dual qualification of both Custody and Sexual Assault can be gained.

Course Fees and Finance
The expected study pattern on this programme enables you to complete modules totalling 60 credits in your first year of study and the other 60 credits in your second year of study. If you follow this pattern of study you will pay a fee of £2,040 for your first year in 2017/18. The fee for your second year of study will be broadly the same, except that an inflationary uplift may apply.* You will be invoiced for the modules that you register for each year, so if your study pattern is different from the expected pattern, you will pay more or less each year accordingly.

The MSc is delivered on a part time basis with the option of exiting with a Postgraduate Certificate or Diploma. You will normally enrol onto the Postgraduate Certificate in the first instance. On successful completion of the Postgraduate Certificate you may then proceed onto the Diploma stage; on successful completion of the Diploma you may then proceed onto the Masters stage.

Entry Requirements (including IELTS score)
For those whose first language is not English you need to demonstrate a minimum of:
A minimum score of 7.0 in IELTS (International English Language Testing System) as administered by the British Council in most countries
A minimum score of 550 in TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) or 213 in the computer-based test. [TOEFL results must include a minimum score of 4.5 for the TWE (Test of Written English) or Cambridge Proficiency Grade C.
What qualifications would I need to join this programme?
The entry requirements for the award are normally:
You must have been a registered professional with either; the Nursing and Midwifery Council for at least 4 years or if a Paramedic 2 years with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) and must have appropriate experience (HO, 2012), where forensic examination of alleged Perpetrators is part of your role . You will be responsible for identifying a Preceptor in your workplace who meets the UKAFN and Staffordshire University's Criteria for Advanced Forensic Practice Preceptor.
It is expected that you will have a minimum academic qualification of a First Degree or equivalent. If you do not have a first degree you will need to demonstrate you have evidence of recent study at this level.
