Students may enter the Saunders College of Business without knowing exactly what major they wish to pursue. This is called the Business Exploration option. While in this program, students will complete coursework in the general studies disciplines and in the business core, allowing them time to sample some of the foundational courses in a variety of programs.
Students will be encouraged to talk with RIT faculty, staff, and career counselors to determine their best choice of major. Students can stay in the Exploration program for about a year and a half, at which time they will be asked to select a major in one of our business degree programs.

Admission to RIT undergraduate business programs is granted to qualified applicants who show high potential for success. The RIT vision is to educate business school students to achieve personal and professional success over their lifetimes.
Minimum GPA and Exam Scores
Saunders does not specify a minimum test scores, as the entire application - including high school performance, TOEFL or IELTS score (international applicants only), SAT or ACT score, resume, and personal statement - is evaluated for admittance into Rochester Institute of Technology.
