About Equine Studies (Horse Rehabilitation concentration), BS - at Midway University

Midway University's Equine Studies program prepares students with the essential skills they need to enter the broad equine industry or prepare for graduate school.

The Equine Studies-Horse Rehabilitation degree will give students strong, applicable skills in the areas of rehabilitation, exercise physiology, Eastern medicine, nutrition and pharmacology. Caring for the animal's well-being is the central focus of this program. Students will complete all courses for the Equine Studies major and then 21 credit hours in horse rehabilitation concentration coursework.

Other areas of concentration within the major include horse management or horse science. Students interested in equine careers can also choose a business or sport management minor as enhancements to their major.

Entry requirements

High School GPA of 2.5 (on 4.0 scale); Top 50% of class; ACT score of 18 or SAT score of 860 (Reading + Math); TOEFL 500 written, 173 computer, 61 internet; Financial guarantee (proof of ability to pay for 1 year of school after scholarships)
