About Macromedia University of Applied Sciences

Digital transformation is fundamentally changing the structure of our professional world and we need people at the heart of these changes who are able to think across disciplines and take on personal responsibility. These are the people we are educating. As the university for digital transformation, we see our role as enablers: we enable our students to understand and shape change. The process and the outcome can be encapsulated succinctly: you change.

With around 80 professors and more than 2,600 students coming from over 80 different countries, it is one of the largest private German universities for professionally-oriented courses in media management, communications design and business administration. Our students learn methods and skills that prepare them for the challenges of the rapidly changing world of industry 4.0 that is characterised by automation, big data, machine learning and other advanced technologies and trends. With interdisciplinary approach and curriculum, we empower graduates to be versatile in diverse areas, especially through the combination of creative approaches, technical skills and strong management skills.

Practice is an integral aspect of our study approach. Throughout their studies, students will carry out practical projects where they will apply the theoretical knowledge to real business scenarios. Through these projects with companies within our wide network of more than 500 partners, they have the opportunity to sharpen their practical skills while also making valuable contacts for the future.
