The full-time "Master of Theology" study programme invites English-speaking students who would like to broaden their theological knowledge in special areas such as biblical studies, church history or regular and practical theology.

Programme Structure
Duration of study: 4 semesters
In the first half of the four semester programme a unified basic training is provided including the following courses:
Basic module:
Methodology of Academic Research in Theology
Biblical Hebrew I-II.
Biblical Greek I-II.
Hermeneutics of the Old Testament
Hermeneutics of the New Testament
Anthropology from Theological Perspective
Contemporary Protestant Theology from WW2
History and Presence of Church and Society
History of Christian Thought
Christian Spirituality
Communication Skills Development
In the 3rd and 4th semester of the programme students will have to choose a specialisation in the field of Biblical Perspectives in Our Society. Students will have to complete at least two of the following 5 topics to gain 120 credits.

Ethics in a Technical Society module
Gospel on the Periphery (Roma and Refugee Issues) module

Conditions of entry requirements of the programme: With the fulfilment of specific entry requirements the following Bachelor and Master study programmes may also be taken into account (Bachelor’s Degree in Catechist-Pastoral Work; Bachelor's Degree in Diakonia; Bachelor’s Degree in Chanting); Master’s Degree or qualification in Teacher of Religion might be accepted by the Credit Transfer Committee of Károli Gáspár University of the Reformed Church in Hungary based on the comparison of knowledge on which the credit was recognised. The minimum number of credits needed for entering the programme is at least 90 credits from the core material of the theological undergraduate studies. For the enrolment in the programme is conditional that the applicant has 30 credits completed from the knowledge base of the undergraduate studies in theology. Missing credits are required to be completed during the first two semesters of the programme from the minor subject of theology (50 credits) and 50 credits from other biblical subjects under the guidance of the teachers of the programme.
Applicants must be highly proficient in spoken and written English.
The programme starts in September.
