The modules you’ll cover during the course are:

Ideas Generation – Critically examine the different contexts and applications of illustration with a view to positioning your own practice
Visual Language – Explore approaches to the core mark-making skills relevant to illustration and strengthen your observational drawing skills
Narrative – Examine the role of storytelling within visual communication across all contexts
Professional Practice – Develop professional skills and build your professional industry networks
Major Project – Develop a body of work that reflects your chosen pathway. The module will culminate in the launch of a course-specific website that will serve as an online exhibition of your work. Each cohort’s online exhibition will be archived and made accessible to the industry via a course ‘portal site’

Entry requirements

To apply for this course, you should have:

An honours degree or Level 6 equivalent qualification
Proof of proficiency in English (an IELTS score of 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in Reading, Speaking, Writing and Listening or equivalent proof) if English isn’t your first language
