This two-year foundation degree programme brings together our academic expertise and Manchester City's fantastic community coaching programmes, offering the very best of both worlds and an integrated path to rewarding career goals.
There are few better places to develop your readiness for a career in sport than the Etihad Campus. This course offers work-based learning in Premier League surroundings, equipping you with the skills, knowledge and experience you will need to find success as a coach or sports programme leader.
Academic experts deliver the programme, providing insight and support during your two years. In addition, you are continually mentored and supported by practitioners from the club's City in the Community Trust providing perspectives from the real world of delivering community coaching and sport development initiatives.
You will learn how coaching sport improves aspects of mental and physical health. The programme will cover all aspects of project development - from planning and delivering activity, through to measuring impact - to help understand the potential of sporting opportunities to make a positive difference in the community.
Once you've finished your two-year programme, you'll have the option of extending your stay - building on those foundations with a top-up year to achieve a BSc (Hons) qualification.
