Manchester School of Art 

Established in 1838, Manchester School of Art is one of the oldest art schools in the UK. It is home to a range of digital and traditional facilities and workshops, courses that are taught by talented staff, and opportunities to work with industry professionals on a regular basis.

Manchester School of Architecture 

Manchester School of Architecture is an innovative collaboration between Manchester Metropolitan University and the University of Manchester. Ranked 11th in the world in the QS Subject Rankings 2020, it combines two schools with more than 100 years’ experience, over 35 experts in their architectural fields and more than 700 students from over 50 countries.

School of Digital Arts 

The School of Digital Arts (SODA) is a brand new school at Manchester Metropolitan University based in the heart of Manchester. It is a £35m investment into workspaces, facilities, networks, teaching and research that will drive the next generation of creative content.

Manchester Writing School 

Manchester Writing School is one of the largest and most successful Writing Schools in the UK. The School’s Creative Director is Carol Ann Duffy (UK Poet Laureate 2009-2019), and she teaches alongside a team of internationally renowned, award-winning writers and critics.

Accommodation Information for Students

All Manchester Metropolitan University international students are guaranteed accommodation in our student halls, as long as you are in your first year of study and you apply before the deadline. We offer an excellent choice of accommodation, from en-suite rooms in shared flats to traditional bedrooms with shared kitchens and bathrooms, all of which are close to our campus.

There are also a number of private sector housing options available in Manchester, including private student halls, houses, flats and shared accommodation. The price will vary depending on the option you choose but there is accommodation available to suit all budgets.
