About Fintech (FT) at EIT Digital Master School

FinTech is a disruptive juggernaut – one that is fundamentally changing everything from how we bank and invest to how we buy insurance. It’s even redefining how we pay for everyday goods and services.

Despite the transformational impact FinTech has already had, you ain’t seen anything yet. That’s because the rapid development of machine learning, data analytics, and blockchain technology is rewriting what’s possible. These technologies will soon revolutionise how we approach to credit and risk management, identity protection, data security, and portfolio allocation.

We don’t yet know the full impact this change will have on the future of finance and business. But we do know that our FinTech programme equips you with the skills – and confidence – to compete in this new financial age.

What you will gain

Our interdisciplinary programme is designed to not only give you a range of practical skills, but also the entrepreneurial mindset needed to drive the disruption. We use a combination of face-to-face workshops, group activities, and hands-on exercises to cover everything from FinTech basics to the job-specific skills demanded by such roles as:

  • Payment specialists
  • Peer-to-peer lenders
  • AI and robot advisors
  • Regular technologies
  • Crowdfunding
  • Cybersecurity
  • Blockchain

To enhance your learning, the programme includes an opportunity to get real-world experience by working in an actual FinTech company. During your internship, you’ll apply your new skills and knowledge towards creating new products and services – even helping bring them to market. For those who prefer to take a more academic approach to learn, our course also offers the opportunity to conduct research in a major European R&D centre, as well as the option to complete a PhD programme.

Unlock new career opportunities

Careers in FinTech are simply exploding. You will leave this programme having the training and skills needed to unlock a range of career opportunities. Our FinTech graduates can be found working in open innovation settings and in such leading technology companies as Google, Amazon, and Netflix. Some have even gone on to launch their own start-ups and consultancies.

Ready to join their ranks? Then enrol today and start driving the digital transformation with FinTech!
