This programme has been designed to support those working in health and social care with the knowledge and skills to provide systemic change in the diverse and often difficult area of health and healthcare provision. The pathway aims to highlight the main principles behind Prudent Healthcare and provides students with the knowledge and confidence to bring forward the founding principles on which the National health service in Wales was based. The Prudent Healthcare pathway will challenge the students to think about how to achieve large-scale improvement in the health of Wales, across all levels of the healthcare system. This will allow graduates to rise to the challenge of improving quality and tackling complexity in a time of sustained resource pressures that will inevitably demand fundamental changes in the ways in which services are designed and delivered. Graduates from this programme will be well placed to take a leading role in that agenda.
