Ranked 140th in the world and 47th in Europe, the origins of the University of Dundee go back to 1881, with the founding of University College, Dundee. The College then had a 70-year relationship with the University of St Andrews before it became an independent institution in 1967. It is now a firmly established university, with a world-class reputation in teaching and research .
The University of Dundee has over 18,000 students, supported by over 3000 staff. 16% of the University’s students are international, coming from over 80 countries worldwide. We offer undergraduate and postgraduate degrees within four colleges: the College of Arts and Social Sciences; the College of Art, Science and Engineering; the College of Life Sciences; and the College of Medicine, Dentistry and Nursing.
