Course summary
Overview
This course will allow you to develop your technical, supervisory and managerial abilities within the context of the hospitality business.
On this course you will learn about the management of hospitality products and services, and we will encourage you to develop a strategic approach to the ever-changing business, economic and social demands placed on the industry.
All of our teaching staff are experienced hospitality practitioners, with many undertaking research, and others are recognised authors.

Your foundation year will give you a grounding in the hospitality industry and review the economics and career prospects in the sector.
In the core and optional modules, we will enhance your understanding and appreciation of the complexities that surround management-level roles. You will acquire specific knowledge and more general skills, including knowledge of strategy development, financial management and contemporary issues in the industry.
We aim to build your knowledge of the global industry with modules focusing on international trends and operations.
Career and study progression
By developing a strong management background in the context of hospitality, you will also gain transferable skills for a range of careers in international or UK hotel groups, restaurants and catering firms.
You may also wish to undertake postgraduate study to specialise in a subject you've already studied, or to explore something new.

Help with funding is available to a range of students, whether you are studying full or part-time, in your home country or overseas.
You may be eligible for a student loan to cover the cost of tuition fees or a maintenance loan to support you during your studies. We also offer a range of scholarships and bursaries to help you. Current scholarships include:
- Full Time Undergraduate Bursary: a £3,000 award for new undergraduate students.
- Path to Success Scholarship: a £4,000 award for students on a four-year degree course with a foundation year.

Please note fees are paid for each year of study unless otherwise stated. You will be required to re-enrol and pay fees at the beginning of each academic year.
