About Automotive Engineering, MEng - at University of South Wales

This four-year Master of Engineering course is designed to give you a higher technical knowledge, and is the highest award for undergraduate study in engineering. The MEng course is a great route for students who want to become registered Chartered Engineers as it meets the Engineering Council's educational requirements to gain Chartered Engineer (CEng) status: the highest standard within the industry.

The University has a strong reputation in automotive research and development. The Centre for Automotive and Power Systems Engineering (CAPSE) undertakes research and consultancy for some of the top car manufacturing companies. The research centre also supports teaching on the automotive degree and final year projects. We have strong links with the automotive sector and we place considerable emphasis on student's projects.

Our students have access to facilities which include Computer Aided Design (CAD) and analysis software, automotive engine test beds, a gas turbine plant, laser scanning arm and wind tunnel. As part of your studies you will also have the chance to be involved in the development of a formula student racing car.

Studying on the MEng Automotive Engineering course will remove the need to source further funding to study a Masters-level qualification.
