The Master’s degree, thanks to a multidisciplinary approach that considers the different physical, biological and chemical aspects of natural and anthropogenic systems, allows students to acquire full command of methodological and operational aspects of engineering for the prevention and remediation of natural or man-made hazards. It provides both theoretical and practical expertise for the design, planning, remediation and monitoring of the biosphere following the impacts caused by urban and industrial activities.

Career opportunities
Graduates can find employment in public administrations, private companies and private research centres working in the field of environmental protection and land management.
They may also work in engineering firms or as freelance consultants dealing with various environmental issues such as waste control and reuse, water and land management, environmental impact assessment, monitoring, modelling, risk management.
