Chemistry contributes directly to our everyday lives, from the food we eat and the medicines we take, to the environment in which we live.
You'll be taught by academic staff who will feed your curiosity for chemistry. You may even recognise some of our staff from the popular Periodic Videos YouTube channel.
You'll study all the key areas of organic, inorganic and physical chemistry. You will gain experience in practical synthetic and analytical chemistry. Optional modules allow you to tailor your degree to your own interests.
We have a major focus on studying green and sustainable chemistry. Choosing an optional module in this topic will show how we are using chemistry to tackle environmental challenges.
There is flexibility to transfer between most chemistry degrees during the first year.
