Studying education will develop your understanding of what it means to learn and how this is framed by wider cultural, societal, political, historical and economic contexts.
This course allows you to engage with debates and develop broad perspectives on issues such as:
- how people learn through multiple modes and in different sites
- the role of established and emerging technologies
- international education and the impact of globalisation
- equality, inclusion and social justice in 21st-century education
You will be encouraged to question current educational ideas and practices and to challenge the assumptions that underpin them. Our aim is that, as an education graduate, you will be well equipped to understand and influence a range of educational processes at local, national and international levels.
