About Clinical Nursing Practice (Top-Up), BSc (Hons) - at The University of Bradford

The BSc (Hons) Clinical Nursing Practice enables students who already hold a health care qualification at level 4, level 5 or level 6 to top-up to a BSc

The flexibility offered by this programme enables you to take forward your current experience, whatever the area of your work, in collaboration with the University of Bradford. Your learning will take place in multi-professional groups with other experienced healthcare professionals, improving your inter-professional communication skills and networking opportunities.

You will develop your skills in clinical practice as well as your knowledge and conceptual understanding; modules are designed to include learning in practice as well as learning in the classroom and simulation suite.

Whilst following this programme of study you will engage with learning through a range of teaching methods. To a degree these methods will be dependent on modules studied (see module section below), however student-centred approaches to learning are a feature of the modules and you will be expected to take responsibility for your learning as you develop your academic skills.

There are a number of approaches to module delivery and these include block attendance, study day attendance, work based learning, distance learning and blended learning. When devising your study plan you will be informed regarding which delivery methods are utilised for which module and in which semester your chosen modules are being delivered. You will also be informed about dates and times of compulsory attendance at the university and (or) practice placement.
