Fees, Funding and Scholarships at Technion - Israel Institute of Technology

Financial Assistance for undergraduate international students is agreed upon financial grant for four years, for students meeting the criteria and is at the discretion of Technion International. 

Academic Merit Scholarship is granted to students based on their grades and achievements. It is given to students in their second through fourth years

Accommodation Information for Students

Technion has two separate campuses – the medical school complex, which is adjacent to the Rambam Medical Center (located in Bat Galim), and the science and technology complex located at the main Technion campus in Neve Shaanan. All in all, Technion offers over 4,000 dorm rooms. These units are designed with a shared kitchen and bathroom.  Students receive on-campus accommodations based on the program they are in.

  • Bedrooms are equipped with a bed, a closet and a desk. Linens are not provided.
  • Kitchens come with a gas or electric burner and refrigerator. Microwaves, stoves and kitchenware are not provided.
  • All apartments have wireless internet.
  • Electricity and internet expenses are paid for separately.
  • There are laundromats equipped with washers and dryers in every dorm village.
  • All dorm rooms are non-smoking; each building has a terrace where smoking is permitted.

Study Abroad Information

The Technion’s semester study abroad program in engineering and science is designed to give international students a unique academic experience, as well as a chance to get to know Israel, the “Start-Up Nation.”  All courses in the study abroad program are taught entirely in English. Students can apply if they are in their second year of undergraduate studies or above. The study abroad program includes off-campus activities, as well as business and industry site visits. Students will have a variety of engineering and science-based courses to choose from.
