Philosophy with Politics & IR BA
The Philosophy with Politics & IR BA will help you to understand our world and our place in it. In Philosophy, you will consider how humans ought to interact with each other and the world and explore central philosophical arguments and questions throughout history. In the Politics & IR minor you will study how humans interact with each other, how they create their institutions, and the different bases societies find for state authority and legitimacy.
Teaching & learning
You will experience an average of over 13 high-quality contact hours with academics per week, typically consisting of:
- 6 hours of degree lectures
- 1-hour one-to-one tutorial
- 1-hour small group tutorial
- 1.5 hours LAUNCH seminar
- 2 hours NCH Diploma lectures
- 1.5 hours professorial lectures
Timetables
Timetables are usually made available to students during Freshers' Week. Teaching can be scheduled to take place during any day of the week. However, when possible, Wednesday afternoons are usually reserved for sports and cultural activities.
