English with Economics BA

For the English with Economics BA, you will study a broad range of literature from 1550 to the present day, and focus on literary forms and how they have changed over time. In the Economics minor you will complement your study of English with an understanding of the structures that influence the cultures and societies that produce literature - as well as keep up quantitative skills, ensuring that you will be one of the most well-rounded graduates in the job market.

Teaching & learning

You will experience an average of over 13 high-quality contact hours with academics per week, typically consisting of:

• 6 hours of degree lectures
• 1-hour one-to-one tutorial
• 1-hour small group tutorial
• 1.5 hours LAUNCH seminar
• 2 hours NCH Diploma lectures
• 1.5 hours professorial lectures

Timetables

Timetables are usually made available to students during Freshers' Week. Teaching can be scheduled to take place during any day of the week. However, when possible, Wednesday afternoons are usually reserved for sports and cultural activities.
