Caring for the spiritual needs of people in a variety of life situations has become increasingly important in contemporary society. As a result, chaplains are now found in schools, hospitals, prisons, aged care, and many workplaces. This qualification provides you with an academic and practical foundation for meeting the challenges of working as a chaplain across a range of contexts.
You will also have the opportunity to conduct in-depth research on a specialised area of interest. Main research areas include spirituality, pastoral care, rituals, religious and cultural demographics, ethics, and theological foundations.
Not all students who study chaplaincy are religious themselves; all you need is an inquiring mind and passion to learn more about the significance and impact of religion in the world around us.
