Overview Why study Early Years Initial Teacher Training: Assessment Only Route at Middlesex University? This Assessment Only (AO) course is a route to Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS) that does not include a period of training. It is suitable for very experienced graduate practitioners from the UK or overseas who have taught in at least two early years settings in the UK but do not have EYTS. Candidates will need to demonstrate that they are able to meet the Teachers' Standards (Early Years) without further training, and once accepted candidates are expected to qualify in 12 weeks.
