Computing has recently been recognised as a fundamental subject, which all pupils should be taught. Given that it has previously been a minority subject in a small number of schools, this expansion will require suitably qualified teachers as a matter of urgency.
Liverpool Hope University is one of the country’s leading providers of Initial Teacher Education. The PGCE is a postgraduate qualification aimed at high quality graduates wishing to pursue a career in secondary teaching. It is an intensive, demanding yet very rewarding programme running from early September to late June.
