You'll learn about hand and nail conditions which will then be applied as you prepare for and perform a manicure safely and effectively.
The course has practical elements where you'll learn how to safely and effectively perform a manicure treatment. You'll also learn relevant underpinning knowledge about nail and hand conditions and the structure of the nail
You must be able to commit to 12 weeks of learning and assessment. You'll be required to bring in clients to practice on and to be assessed on.
In addition, you're expected to study/practice at home for approximately 2 hours per night, to ensure that you know all theory required and practice your skills.
If English is not your first language you will need to provide evidence that you have achieved ESOL Intermediate Level 2 (or equivalent)".
Additional Information Dress codeYou should wear a professional beauty uniform, have your hair tied back, short neat nails etc. Black flat shoes should be worn in the salon.
