About Entry into Enclosed Spaces (SCQF level 4) at City of Glasgow College

The Merchant Navy Training Board (MNTB) Entry into Enclosed Space course provides training that delivers the knowledge requirements set out in The Merchant Shipping (Entry into Dangerous Spaces) Regulations 1988, IMO Resolution A.1050 (27) Revised recommendations for entering enclosed spaces aboard ships and the Code of Safe Working Practices for Merchant Seafarers 2015.

  • Completion of a typical enclosed space permit to work and toolbox talk.
  • Carry out testing of an atmosphere using typical test equipment.
