This course is accredited by The Institute of Hospitality, Institute of Travel and Tourism, Institute of Data & Marketing, Tourism Management Institute and United Nations World Tourism Organisation. Recognised by the Institute of Travel and Tourism (ITT) Centre of Excellence, our four-year course was one of the first to be offered in the UK and has been refined over three decades to give you an excellent understanding of how private and public organisations work together within the tourism sector.
You’ll develop management and business skills that are essential to get ahead in this industry and in your final year, you’ll have a choice of modules, allowing you to tailor your degree to suit your interests and career goals.
Bournemouth is also a perfect location to study tourism management, a popular seaside resort with many tourism and hospitality businesses and opportunities to learn from the locality.
Undergraduate students who will successfully complete the Digital Marketing unit have the opportunity to achieve the IDM qualification level 4 Certificate in Digital Marketing, as a result of exemptions awarded by the IDM for the Digital Marketing unit.
You can also expand your horizons and spend some time studying abroad with one of our 40 partner institutions in the USA, Australia, Europe and Asia. What’s more, a 30-week supervised work placement in the UK or overseas will give you the opportunity to turn theory into practice in a business environment, ensuring you gain practical experience that could help you secure a management-level position immediately after graduating.
