The accreditation and approval bodies on our BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy will allow you to work anywhere in the world with your qualification. On successful completion of this course, you can: 

  • Apply to become a registered physiotherapist with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) 
  • Become a professional member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP)

Entry requirements

For September 2025 entry: 128-144 tariff points including a minimum of 2 A levels or equivalent, including 40 points in a required subject. BTEC Extended Diploma of DDM. T-Levels: Merit (120 UCAS tariff points)

Required subject:

  • A-level: Biology, Human Biology, Physical Education
  • BTEC Nationals: Applied Human Biology (Extended Certificate or higher), Health & Social Care: Health Studies pathway (Extended Diploma), Sport (Extended Certificate or higher), Sport & Exercise Science (Diploma or higher), Applied Science (Extended Certificate or higher) if biology/ anatomy units have been taken 
  • Cambridge Technicals: Health & Social Care (Extended Diploma)
  • Sport and Physcial Actvity (Diplpoma or Higher)
  • Other qualifications:
  • CACHE Level 3 Extended Diploma in Health and Social Care
  • City & Guilds Level 3 Advanced Technical Extended Diploma (1080) in Health and Care 
  • WJEC Level 3 Applied Diploma in Medical Science 

International entry requirements:

If English is not your first language you'll need IELTS (Academic) 7.0 (with minimum 6.5 in each of the 4 components) or equivalent.

Please see below some examples of the qualifications for entry onto Year 1 for September 2025 entry:

  • China: Chinese Senior High School Graduation Certificate (Huikao) average 80%, or Gaokao 76-80%. Grade depends on course
  • France: Baccalaureate with 13–13.5 overall or 12-12.5 (international option)
  • Hong Kong: HKDSE Diploma (4,4,4 – 4,4,5 from three subjects). Grade depends on course
  • India: All India Senior School Certificate Examination (Standard XII) 75-80%
  • Spain: Titulo de Bachillerato with a score of 7.5 to 8. Grade depends on the course
  • Turkey: Devlet Lise Diplomasi/Lise Bitirme Diplomasi 4.0/5.0 or 80%
