Last year we brought you some updates on new scholarships available in Australia. This year we’ve found some more for you in Australia, but also some new scholarships for studying in Scotland, the UK and Worldwide.
If you missed out on those new scholarships for Australia last year, or perhaps you weren’t quite ready, there’s now another scholarship to apply for. The University of Queensland and the University of Sydney both have new schemes available to international students starting in July this year and February next year. The Faculty of Science at the University of Queensland has scholarships worth up to AU$12,000 for students at undergraduate and postgraduate level. The Faculty of Business, Economics and Law have also got new scholarships available along with their School of Economics Centenary Scholarship, which offers students who excel academically to undertake a Bachelor of Economics. Prefer the thought of studying in Sydney? The University of Sydney is offering up some new undergraduate scholarships worth AU$10,000 per year and postgraduate awards are worth a one off payment of AU$10,000. You’ll have to be quick though, as the deadline for applications for this year is the end of this month.
If you are planning on studying in the UK (and you’re from India), you could take advantage of one of the sixty scholarships being awarded in India this year to mark the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. The scholarships are funded by the government and the British Council and will enable the best students from India to study courses in business, administration, manufacturing, science or technology. If you want to study in Scotland, there’s good news too as it was announced by the Scottish Education Secretary that the Saltire Scholarship scheme will be extended into 2015. The scheme offers UK£2,000 to eligible foreign students to study at Scottish universities
