And the fact that 94% of our graduates find full-time employment in their chosen field speaks volumes about the quality of our courses and the passion of our students.
Our students come from a wide variety of backgrounds, with experience in areas such as Nursing, Nursing, Mental Health, Midwifery, Operating Department Practice, Social Care and education and all have a desire to care for others in their chosen rewarding profession.
Sarah Todd is a recent graduate from our MSc in Advanced Practice Here are her thoughts about the course, why she chose it and how it has helped her.
“I had been looking for several years to find a course that would encompass the different perspectives, from both my current job role as a nurse and the specialist area of nursing that I wanted to peruse. I felt this course offered opportunities to further develop knowledge and extend and advance my practice in both areas.
The course has broadened my horizons through the subjects studied and the class debates, surrounding the government initiatives for strengthening and improving the provision of current health and social care. It has given me a totally different perspective about interprofessional team working”
Mary Thuo, is a current student on our MSc Health Promotion she decided to study with us after a recommendation from a friend, Mary explains that “I heard about the course after a friend who had just completed their studies sent me some information and gave me a good recommendation about the course, the course is for those wishing to pursue a career in health promotion, health improvement and public health or who want to develop further this aspect of their practice. The course has helped me to develop knowledge, skills and attitudes that I require as a nurse to help patients and clients develop their own skills and capabilities to improve their own health”.
