The results are in from our first ever StudyLink Student Visa survey (22 Dec 2010 – 1 Feb 2011). A big thank you to everyone who took part, we had over 308 responses from all over the world.
This month, I thought I’d share the results with you so you can see what other applicants are thinking and where they are dreaming of starting their studies in 2011 and beyond.
Most respondents were hoping to enhance their career prospects by studying overseas, closely follow by broadening their experience. Studying abroad is about so much more than an academic education, it provides a real life education that can enhance not just your IQ but also your social and emotional intelligence as well.
Not surprisingly, money remains the biggest barrier to studying overseas. That’s why I’ve been focusing on this for the last few months and we have a special main article this month too. Click on the link to the right of this blog for more articles ‘Ask a study abroad expert.’

Remember, the student visa is a small part of the process and really shouldn’t get in your way if you have chosen the right course and have the right funds to study overseas.
