International Relations Masters Programmes

International relations is the study of how countries interact with each other. It is a combination of politics, history, sociology, law, economics and geography, and how all of these components come together in the context of international cooperation.

Studying for a postgraduate international relations degree will allow you to further develop your knowledge and skills in the area. You will be exposed to more practical and theoretical applications, which will challenge your abilities. This will mean that you are well prepared for a career in a multi-faceted and complex field.

Modules you study could include refugees and international relations, activism and resistance, slavery in global history, and politics of developing countries.

Study in the Netherlands

The Netherlands is a great choice for international students, as it has a very large international population that would be ready to make any new international students feel at home. The Netherlands was also one of the first non-native English speaking countries to offer courses taught in English to international students. The Dutch people have a long standing reputation of being tolerant and open minded, meaning you will feel welcomed and comfortable as soon as you arrive in the country.
