A masters degree in counselling and psychotherapy is an opportunity to take your skills and knowledge to the next level. Usually taking 1-2 years to complete when studied full-time, a counselling and psychotherapy degree combines theory and practice to ensure that you are a well-rounded practitioner who can help a variety of clients or patients. Admission requirements usually include a bachelors degree in a related subject, or relevant professional experience.
International students have to pay tuition fees in most countries, with the amount dependent on where you are from and where you choose to study. You might be eligible for financial assistance, such as a scholarship or grant, which can help with the costs related to studying abroad. Graduates of a counselling and psychotherapy masters degree can either look for a job within a field of interest, or pursue further studies, like a PhD or research degree.
