Masters in Food Science in China

Study Food Science Masters Programmes

Food science is a branch of science that looks at the properties of food, and how this knowledge can be applied to the processing, production, preservation, sanitation and distribution within the food industry. In practice, food scientists are integral in improving food safety and quality, sustainability, and health and nutrition across the globe.

A postgraduate degree in food science will allow you to expand on the knowledge and skills gained at undergraduate level. Modules you study could include sustainable agricultural systems, food flavour and sensory science, animal nutrition, and food security.

Study in China

China has long been regarded as a global superpower when it comes to economic, business and political standing. Its reputation as a higher education destination has taken longer to earn, but is rewarded on merit. The country's government has invested in university and higher education over the last few years, with the aim to increase the international student population. This investment has meant that there are many more courses offered in English than there were a few years ago, making China a new and exciting destination for international students.
