Study a Military History degree abroad in 2024

Hundreds of years of human history have included periods of conflict and warfare, giving you lots of fascinating history to discover. As well as covering specific aspects of war such as battle tactics and the development of weapons and technology, military history also looks at the social and geopolitical aspects of war.

Graduates of degrees in military history may go on to have careers in the armed forces, as political commentators, in journalism, as professional historians, working in education and academia, as authors and much more.

Your degree will be delivered in a mixture of modes, including lectures, tutorials, seminars and group projects. Depending on your course, you may also have the option to take part in a work placement. Modules you study could include:
