The term health and social care broadly refers to all of the services that offer any form of health, medical or social support services. The professional health and social care sector includes dentistry, nursing homes, foster care, physiotherapy, and early years care providers. As a student of health and social care, you will learn about how these services can be provided to those that need them the most, and how we improve the provision as a society.
Graduates of a degree in health and social care will have a wide range of career opportunities available to them. These include social worker, healthcare manager, welfare officer, residential home manager, and public health analyst, among others.
